(… oh what a bore) 
JW (as S insists on calling him with a v. bad Texan accent) has put on a pound in 6 days, passed his hearing test, slept for a 5 hour stretch a night (aided by a large glass of Merlot), grown out of many of his newborn clothes, had a trip out with me to town & been registered.
I think he & C like each other …
