Update

Children still ill with added obnoxiousness.

Lots of stuff on ebay - wasn’t too traumatic but did feel a bit nostalgic.

One box down 9 more to go ;)

Medusa and Perseus by Claudia

Perseus sent out to kill Medusa because he wanted his mother released by the evil king. Medusa was a Gorgon, half dragon half woman. She had scaly skin, snakes instead of hair, she wore clothes but her hands were made of brass, She was beautiful but very scary. She could crush you with her hands, her poisonous snake hair could bite you, but one look at her would turn you to stone.

The gods gave Perseus flying sandals and a sharp sword, a helmet that made him invisible and a shield bright like a mirror.

Perseus put on his sandals and flew to the island where Medusa lived. It was a rocky wild place. He looked in his shield while he flew over the island and saw the Gorgons sleeping. He landed and cut off Medusa’s head looking in his shield so he wasn’t turned to stone. He put the head in a bag but the snakes hissed and woke up the other Gorgons. He put on his invisibility helmet and escaped.

He took the head to the king and showed it to him. But the king looked at the head and turned to solid stone.

The End.

  1. If I’d stumbled on that without knowing I’d have still guessed it was you (both username and items!), don’t tell me when you sell stuff that would fit S, I don’t need to see that

  2. *I* had a massive twinge of nostalgia seeing the stripey hooded dress!

Very beautifully photographed, I must say. Will show C as he thinks photographing my eBay stuff is beneath him and never takes nice pictures for me.

    And lots of bids :)

  3. I hope it goes for a decent price, it’s all practically unworn. Feel a bit bad about selling it now, but we aren’t going to use it & we owe C’s ballet nearly £200 (wish I had a shocked smiley there).
